The new Versa-Mole from McLaughlin gives contractors a choice of underground installation methods to accommodate both their soil and job conditions. The 5' or 7' drilling unit allows set up in confined areas where use of a surface launched directional drill is not possible. 

The M-4500 series hydraulic boring attachments are available in three distinct configurations: M-4500, M-4500SS, and M4500MS. The M-4500 can be easily attached to the backfill bucket of any full size or mini-skid steer. 

It was at this point that Tracy Kennedy contacted Tim Clark from Vermeer Midwest Sales in Aurora , IL . While the pipe pusher that was used on the initial project fit the Right-Of-Way envelope; it did not have enough power to compact the tight clay on phase two.
